I was a little bit nervous about what to expect... read more on this trip as a solo woman traveller but there wasn't nothing to worry about other than to have a lovely time. Visiting and spending the night in the Sahara desert is a once in a lifetime experience and our driver Reda truly made it great. Reda especially gave us all a warm welcome to Morocco, plenty of info on what to expect and was a truly professional driver. There's plenty of stops along the way out to the. desert and a chance to see more of Morocco - which is a world away from my home in New Zealand. However like all reviews mentioned, it can feel like a long drive home to Marrakech - so just be ready for the car journey.
I'd suggest to make sure to bring plenty of cash with you at least 200 MAD a day, as the lunches are a little more expensive than Marrakesch, local guides to tip and you'll want to purchase momentos.

Very nice and interesting night... read more in merzouga especially thanks to the helpfulness and courtesy of the guys in the camp. Very good dinner as well. Only negative aspects the lunches during the trip : there is no choice and the places are quite mediocre. Overall without a doubt a good experience.

  Well worth it for the experience - I highly recommend it for the experience and the included tours. The hotel and the camp we stayed at were really good, hotel even had a pool for a little... read more dip. My only complaint would be the restaurants have set menus and sometimes not what we needed.

This is the opportunity to really enjoy the Berber life and culture: they will show you their agriculture techniques, how they prepare carpets and some other interesting stuff. The night at the Berber camp is the most beautiful experience you’ll have in Morocco, thanks to the guys and their professionalism. You can have a talk with them while looking at the stars and enjoy the desert at its best.
Reda is the best driver, always kind and friendly.

The stops... read more on our way to Merzouga we’re breathtaking and really enhanced the trip. The restaurant selections throughout the trip were pre selected for us, and all the menu’s were very similar at each stop which is my only complaint. My partner and I were opting to drive all the way to Merzouga in a rental car but I’m glad we opted for this tour. It a VERY long drive and it’s nice to have someone who knows the roads and where they are going. We met some nice people on the tour and stopped at some beautiful places along the way.
