We (family of 3) have done a 7 day cross country trip with Rida.
He picked us up from Marrakech airport and drove around to show how beautiful Morocco... read more is. And we were amazed by the beauty and versatility of Morocco!
Rida is very knowledgeable, humble and caring person who looked after our every single request with a smile throughout our trip!!
He made sure that we feel safe as well as a wonderful vacation while enjoying the beautiful landscape from Marrakech to Sahara to Fez to Chefchaouen to Casablanca!!
During the planning process he was very responsive and accommodating with our requests and schedules!!
He is the reason we had an amazing trip!!
What an incredible trip! I had the best three day trip to the Sahara desert with Reda as our driver. I was a little bit nervous about what to expect... read more on this trip as a solo woman traveller but there wasn't nothing to worry about other than to have a lovely time. Visiting and spending the night in the Sahara desert is a once in a lifetime experience and our driver Reda truly made it great. Reda especially gave us all a warm welcome to Morocco, plenty of info on what to expect and was a truly professional driver. There's plenty of stops along the way out to the. desert and a chance to see more of Morocco - which is a world away from my home in New Zealand. However like all reviews mentioned, it can feel like a long drive home to Marrakech - so just be ready for the car journey.
I'd suggest to make sure to bring plenty of cash with you at least 200 MAD a day, as the lunches are a little more expensive than Marrakesch, local guides to tip and you'll want to purchase momentos.
A trip to do at least once in a lifetime - Reda the driver and everyone were lovely and we learned a lot of new cultures and traditions. The sunset, sunrise and stars in the desert were amazing! A memory forever... read more in very good company :)
IT IS A MUST! - Must do! Totally worth the money and time. The van is super comfy to ride in. You go on multiple tours, where you have a guide to explain the history... read more and answer all your questions. Lunch is not included but the spots you go to for lunch are very good and you get app/entree/fruit. All for 100 dirham, very good price. The dinners that are included are very good and plenty of food as well. Breakfast is worth it too.
Our driver Reda, is such a genuine person and a good time. He was the best DJ and stopped for many breaks when needed. He made the experience that much better. The drive is a bit long but with the stops for breaks and tours. It’s not so bad.
The campsite for the desert is exactly what you want and may be a bit nicer than expected. We each had our own campsite with a bed. The camp fire with the Moroccans playing music and all of us dancing around the fire. We had so much fun doing this, a moment in time I won’t forget. The camels are also a fun time, you ride them for sunset and sunrise. Which is another unforgettable moment.
If you want to learn a lot about Moroccos history, have fun, make memories, enjoy culture, and not have to worry about driving or booking hotels. DO THIS TOUR!
Amazing!!!! - This was an amazing trip. Reda was a great driver: he was always available for our needs and very clear in his explanations. The van was really comfortable, restaurants served... read more quality food and we had the chance to visit a real berber village. I would definitely recommend this experience.
Amazing - The tour guide and the staff are very accomodating, hospitable and taking care of us in our group... We like the camel ride. But we suggest to have... read more sand boarding. But all in all were so happy
Beautiful Sahara Magouza desert trip - The value and experience was unforgettable. Our guide and driver, Rida, was very kind and attentive and caring. We had some problems and he made sure to care for us... read more and also for fellow travelers. He’s also a smooth driver which definitely helps with a long, mountainous road. We really appreciate the time there with the natural scenery and beautiful desert. We won’t forget the people here.
Experience the best in Morocco! From Marrakesh to the desert of Merzouga and from the desert to Imperial Fes. A four-day trip to see a good piece of Morocco will bring new adventures every day! On your way to Merzouga, you will visit the Berber village, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate film studios, the serpentines between the Dades rocks, Gorges Todra Canyon, and spend the night amongst the sand dunes. From Merzouga, you will set out on a journey to Fes – the second largest city in Morocco with a UNESCO-protected medina.
Today morning is the first day of 4 days trip from Marrakech to Fes. After leaving the city of Marrakech behind, we head south over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). In this pass, we enjoy superb views of the mountains and of the Berber Villages. We stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant and visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. It is a World Heritage site since 1987. This famous kasbah has been used as the backdrop for more than 20 films.
After lunch, we continue through Ouarzazate, which is the gateway to southern Morocco. Later continue towards the Skoura oasis, which is a fertile area lined with immense palm groves. Following on from Skoura we arrive at the Valley of Roses.
Roses are a very important crop booster to the local population. The rose season begins around 10 April and ends around 20 May, depending on climate conditions. The Rose Festival or Moussem of Roses takes place on the second weekend in May and lasts for two days. Many festivities take place, including performances by folk groups and the Miss Roses contest, whose winner then takes part in a procession on a decorated float. Traders from all over the region come to sell their specialties and handicraft products.
Finally, on this day we arrive at the spectacular Dades Gorge and this is where you will have dinner and spend the night in your hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel we depart Dades Gorge and head towards Todra Gorges: a massive fault, rising to 300m in a narrow valley. Thickly dotted with palm groves and Berber Villages. After lunch in the gorge, we go further into the Sahara to Merzouga which has the largest natural underground body of water in all of Morocco and stands on the edge of the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Merzouga.
After breakfast in the desert, we depart to Rissani where we visit the traditional Berber suq. Leaving Rissani we travel through the Ziz Valley and Errachidia. We will stop en route for lunch before reaching Azrou. There is a cedar forest that is home to a troupe of Barbary apes then heading to Ifrane which locals call the Switzerland of Morocco, we may have stopped or continued to Fes and drop you off in your Riad/Hotel. End of our 4 days trip from Marrakech to Fes.
