Eccleston50A camel trek through the massive desert dunes is one of Morocco’s most impressive experiences. Embark on a journey to Merzouga, where huge desert dunes and beautiful adventure await you. Enjoy Berber tea right on the desert dune and think about the little prince, he may show up for you too in this magical place. Try sandboarding, take a selfie with your camel, and wish upon the stars while you gaze to Milky Way.
We pick you up from your hotel at 07:00 in the morning. First, we depart to the Atlas mountains. The drive-in Atlas mountains take 4 hours with breathtaking scenic views. We have one break and stop for taking the pictures. This route is one of the most beautiful routes in Morocco.
After 4 hours in the car, we stop in Berber village (Ait Ben Haddou). You have 2 hours for visiting an old castle with a local guide and lunch in the restaurant. After we continue to your hotel, the drive takes 3 hours with one short break.
The next day, we leave your hotel at 8:00 and drive to visit the old Berber city – the city is 1 hour far from your hotel. You get a local guide for visiting traditional Berber houses and the big valley of Todra Gorges with the river. We also stop in the restaurant for lunch. After lunchtime, we have 3 hours more to desert Merzouga.
In Merzouga, we stop in a hotel and you take an adventurous ride on camels. The camels with guides take you to dessert and your camp. This can take 45 minutes. In the camp, you enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, with music and dancing. After you finish your dinner and the program ends, you sleep in comfortable tents. During your stay in the desert, you have many opportunities for taking pictures in the sand dunes, watching the beautiful sunset, and experiencing stargazing at the night.
The next day, you wake up at 6.00 for enjoying and taking pictures of the sunrise. After finishing your stay in the desert, camels take you back to the hotel, where you enjoy Moroccan breakfast. After, you go with your driver back to Marrakech. On the road, you will have a stop for lunch.
